Acrobatic Dance for 5 to 7 years olds

MINI STARS ACRO is a 30-minute adventure filled with fun! Your little one will flip, tumble, and learn amazing acrobatic dance techniques while picking up tons of other cool skills. It’s the perfect way to combine excitement and learning!

ACRO – Experience the thrill of dance acrobatics, where strength, flexibility, and tumbling come together in one exciting class! Students will master dance-based tumbling skills while focusing on building individual strength and flexibility. We emphasize learning seamless transitions in and out of movements, so your dancer can shine in choreography. Join us for a fun-filled class that will elevate their dance experience!

This class was designed by our Director, Jodie Freeman, who brings over 20 years of teaching experience. Her innovative methods are highly regarded in the dance industry, thanks to the incredible results she achieves with younger dancers.

 

ENROL FOR A TRIAL

 

Generation Dance offers a paid trial class for new students, so no big term fees are due until you're sure your child loves it.

Payments are automated, so when you register for a trial, you'll submit a direct debit form. The trial fee will be deducted once your child is confirmed, along with a one-time $5.50 setup fee. If your child doesn’t want to continue, let us know within 24 hours, and we’ll cancel the direct debit. If you don’t let us know, we’ll automatically enrol you in our monthly payment plan. AGE

The Mini Stars program is for Reception and Year 1 school age students, aged between 5 and 7 years. Mid Year reception intake students can commence this program in Term 3.

Children in Year 2 will enrol in our 8&U EEP or Junior Recreational Classes.

CLASSES AVAILABLE

  • Mini Stars Jazz, Hip Hop, Singing and Flexibility (60 minutes)

  • Mini Stars Ballet (30 minutes)

  • Mini Stars Tap (30 minutes)

  • Mini Stars Acro (30 minutes)

MINI STARS 6&U COMPETITION TROUPE (45 minutes)

Competition Troupe offers dancers extra performance opportunities throughout the year. In a dedicated class, they learn and refine choreography for competitions, working together in a fun, team environment to shine on stage.

To join, students must attend both Mini Stars Jazz, Hip Hop, Singing & Flexibility, and Mini Stars Ballet classes. Full commitment to all troupe dates and requirements, as outlined in the Competition Troupe Schedule, is essential.

EXAMS

Students in Year 1 can choose to attend an exam class, in addition to their Mini Stars lesson. Exam classes are a great way to develop and refine dance technique.

  • Primary Ballet exam (30 minutes) *students must also enrol in Mini Stars Ballet

  • Test 2 Jazz exam (30 minutes) *students must also enrol in Mini Stars Jazz, Hip Hop, Singing & Flexibility and Mini Stars Ballet

  • Test 2 Tap exam (30 minutes) *students must also enrol in Mini Stars Tap

*Exam classes continue through the school holiday breaks, but end after the exam session in Term 4.

Mini Stars students get two exciting chances to perform each year—at our Mid-Year Display in June and the End-of-Year Showcase in December! The fun of learning performance routines is part of every class. It's a great way for your little dancer to shine on stage!
