Child Safe Policy – Generation Dance Pty Ltd
At Generation Dance Pty Ltd, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where children and young people can express themselves through dance, free from harm, danger, or abuse. We uphold the highest standards of child safety to ensure that all students feel protected, supported, and respected within our academy.
Our policies align with the Children and Young People (Safety) Act 2017 (SA) and the Child Safety (Prohibited Persons) Act 2016 (SA), requiring all staff and volunteers to comply with their legal and ethical responsibilities regarding child protection. We recognise the importance of trust and open communication, encouraging students to speak up about any concerns or feelings of discomfort.
To uphold these commitments:
All teachers, staff, and volunteers undergo screening and clearance checks as mandated by the Department of Human Services (DHS) before commencing work with children.
If any staff member at Generation Dance Pty Ltd suspects abuse or neglect, it is our duty to report these concerns. A director will make an official report to the Child Abuse Report Line (13 14 78).
If a child or young person is believed to be in immediate danger, the matter will be escalated to SA Police for urgent intervention.
Any individual who is under investigation or has been charged with an offense related to child abuse or neglect will be immediately removed from the premises until a formal resolution is reached.
We commit to ongoing compliance with all relevant child protection laws and will adjust our policies and practices in response to legislative changes as necessary.
At Generation Dance Pty Ltd, we prioritise the safety, well-being, and empowerment of every child, ensuring that our dance school remains a place where young people can thrive with confidence and security.
